The Director-General, Public Service Staff Development Centre, PSSDC, Adekunmilola Adio-Moses has ascribed that Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1fm is the most outstanding radio station in Nigeria, considering its top notch service delivery.

The PSSDC Boss who stated this when he led the management staff of the Agency on familiarization and courtesy visit to the station, called for advanced collaboration with Lagos Traffic Radio in capacity building for Public Servants by creating awareness on the importance of Traffic Laws and the Integrated Inter-modal Transport system of the Sanwo-olu administration, digitalisation of learning through the PSSDC Learning Management System, among others.

In his response, the General Manager of Lagos Traffic Radio, Tayo Akanle who appreciated the PSSDC for choosing the Station based on its achievements and positive impact on listeners, noted that the unprecedented achievements recorded by the station was based on consistency in service delivery which has helped set a standard for the station among its peers in Nigeria.

Akanle who acknowledged the relevance of the PSSDC towards contributing to the capacity building for Public Servants, said the Station’s Daily listener has increased from eight hundred thousand in 2018 to up to two million now and as well witnessed tremendous growth on its Social Media Platforms, including Facebook, twitter and others.

Akanle further said the Station has added value to the lives of Lagosians positively and will continue to do so by ensuring they spend less time in traffic through prompt delivery of travel advisory on the Roads, Waterways and Railway.

In the same vein, the General Manager said the station had foresight by partnering with the Nigeria Railway Corporation, NRC, by giving railway update before the establishment of Lagos Blue Rail, and urged Lagosians to be on the lookout for updates on the Lagos Blue Line as soon as it commences operation and the Red Line when completed.
