The General Manager, Lagos Traffic Radio, Tayo Akanle has commended the members of staff for their commitment and dedication including turning up with exemplary characters and positive energies that have reflected positive on the image of the station.
Mr. Akanle said this while receiving two members of staff who received different awards during the 2024 Edition of the Nigerian Media Merit Awards held recently at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos, adding that the awards were in recognition of their professionalism and performances over time.
The General Manager asserted, “The recognition is a testament of excellence which the station is known, and which remains the bedrock of our deliverables as we strive to add value to Lagosians.
“We shall continue to provide strong leadership that would actively support our staff towards attaining greater heights, provide direction leading to delivery of quality service, while focusing on employee engagement and welfare”.
Speaking further, Mr. Akanle stressed that the Agency would also continue to make available its platform to promote the activities and programmes of Mr. Governor’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda, especially the Traffic Management and Transportation pillar.
He urged all members of staff to remain dedicated and committed to the provision of timely and accurate traffic information while assuring of government support at all times.
The two members of Staff are the Deputy Director, Programmes, Victor Oteri who bagged the Broadcaster of the Year Award while On Air Personality (OAP), Mike James clinched the Presenter of the Year Award.
