FLASH INCIDENT REPORT – OTEDOLA BRIDGE
A 40ft container has fallen on Otedola Bridge inward Secretariat, currently occupying about 90% of the carriageway.
Tow trucks, LASTMA rescue team, and police officers are on ground working to evacuate the container.
Traffic has extended beyond Kara Bridge, causing a heavy backlog along the corridor.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY / ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
Motorists coming from Kara are advised to link Ogunnusi Road through River Valley, proceed to Omole Junction, then connect Agidingbi Road to Awolowo Road to continue their journey to their destinations.
FLASH UPDATE
To ensure safety during the evacuation of the accidented containerized vehicle at Otedola, the road has been temporarily closed.
Motorists are strongly advised to use the alternative routes provided while traffic officers manage the situation.
