UPDATE: KARA BRIDGE (INWARD MOWE)
The overturned 20-foot containerized truck at Kara Bridge inward Mowe has been successfully recovered.
The truck was carrying highly flammable liquid chemicals, posing a significant fire hazard. As a precaution, the LASTMA Rescue and Recovery Team, the Lagos State Fire Service, and other emergency responders remain on ground.
Flushing of the spilled chemicals is currently ongoing to eliminate any fire risk and ensure the roadway is safe for motorists.
Traffic remains very heavy due to the recovery exercise and ongoing clean-up operation.
LASTMA personnel are actively managing traffic within the corridor.
