TRAFFIC UPDATE – PWD / IKEJA ALONG
Despite the early morning rainfall, traffic across the PWD axis remains largely encouraging.
Movement around Bolade, Ladipo and Shogunle is free, although the roads are wet from the downpour. Approaching PWD and ascending the Ikeja Link Bridge is smooth, with only slight water accumulation at the tip of the bridge while descending.
The stretch from Mongoro to Dopemu Under Bridge is calm, while the return journey towards Ikeja is also free-flowing. However, traffic is slightly slow approaching Ile Zik Traffic Light due to minor flash flooding around FANN Quarters extending towards National Bus Stop.
Movement from Airport Bridge to PWD remains smooth, while traffic from Bolade through PWD is equally encouraging.
LASTMA personnel are strategically deployed across the corridor monitoring traffic. No major incident has been recorded.
