INCIDENT REPORT – OWODE ELEDE, IKORODU
A six-tyre mini gas tanker developed a mechanical fault at Owode Elede inward Ikorodu, resulting in a gas leakage that later ignited.
The LASTMA Rescue and Recovery Team, alongside the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, is on scene containing the fire and safeguarding road users.
To ease movement, one lane and the BRT corridor have been opened to motorists.
Although traffic is still moving, a backlog has developed around Mile 12.
The affected tanker remains at the scene while emergency responders continue recovery operations. Motorists are advised to exercise caution, use the designated diversion, and cooperate with traffic officials.
