TRAFFIC UPDATE FROM IKORODU AXIS
Traffic conditions across the Ikorodu axis remain generally calm and orderly this morning.
Vehicular movement from Olopo Meji, Trailer Park to the Odonguyan corridor is free-flowing. Beyond Odonguyan, traffic toward NNPC, Flower, Second Gate, and First Gate is moving at a fast pace.
Motorists travelling from Okegbegun through High School to Ile-Epo Oba will experience good movement, while traffic from Sabo Roundabout toward the Aleje corridor is slow-moving.
The stretch from Aleje to Ikorodu Roundabout is moving well; however, traffic becomes slow approaching the traffic light toward Primero due to bus stop activities. Movement from Unity to Benson remains appreciable despite pedestrian crossings and bus stop activities.
Traffic from Benson toward Ikorodu Roundabout is free-flowing, with seamless movement to Aleje. However, the Aleje–Sabo Roundabout corridor is experiencing busy-moving traffic due to the poor condition of the road.
From Sabo Roundabout through Okegbegun, First Gate, Redeemed Church to Odonguyan, traffic is flowing freely.
Movement from Itamaga Traffic Light through Radio, Erunwen to Musical Village is fast-moving, while the corridor from Musical Village to Ota-Ona is also in good shape.
Traffic from Ota-Ona through Itunmeko, Itunpate, Itumoja, Ladega to Ojubode is moving smoothly. Likewise, motorists travelling from Ojogbe through Oba’s Palace to Ojubode and Ikorodu Roundabout are enjoying fast-moving traffic.
Impediment: Negative.
Traffic management personnel remain strategically positioned, particularly around the construction area, to ensure smooth vehicular movement.
