RECOVERY OPERATIONS UPDATE – APAKUN UNDER BRIDGE, INWARD IYANA ISOLO

Recovery operations are now in full progress at Apakun Under Bridge inward Iyana Isolo.

A crane, forklift, flatbed truck and high-capacity tow vehicle are on site to recover the two remaining loaded 40-foot containerised trucks.

Motorists travelling from Anthony and Oshodi-Oke are advised to use the International Airport Road, make a U-turn beneath the International Airport Bridge towards 7 & 8 via Aswani, before reconnecting to the Oshodi–Apapa Expressway.

Alternatively, motorists from Oshodi-Oke may use the service lane via DHL to access the Oshodi–Apapa Expressway.

Clarification: The alternative routes are not blocked, but they are heavily congested. Motorists are advised to remain patient and comply with the directives of traffic managers on ground.

Temporary traffic diversion remains in effect until recovery operations are completed.
