FLASH UPDATE – APAKUN UNDER BRIDGE / OSHODI–APAPA EXPRESSWAY
Recovery operations are currently ongoing at Apakun Under Bridge, inward Iyana Isolo.
The affected section of the road has been temporarily closed to vehicular movement to allow for the safe recovery of the remaining accidented containerised trucks.
🚦 Traffic Situation:
- Traffic backlog has now extended beyond Oshodi-Oke.
- Severe delays are being experienced along the corridor.
- The situation is also impacting connecting routes around the Oshodi axis.
⚠️ Motorists’ Advisory:
- Exercise patience and cooperate with traffic officials.
- Follow all diversion directives issued by LASTMA officers on ground.
- Consider alternative routes where possible, while noting that they are currently experiencing heavy traffic.
