FLASH UPDATE – OJOTA/IKORODU ROAD
There is a heavy traffic situation from Ojota heading towards Ikorodu following a breakdown involving two HTS trucks at the Interchange.
A loaded HTS truck initially developed a battery fault, while another truck of the same company attempting to tow it also broke down due to a battery issue.
One of the impediments has now been moved off the road, with a lane opened for vehicular movement. Efforts are ongoing to evacuate the remaining truck.
The backlog is presently extending to Ojota.
Motorists seeking to connect to the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway are advised to consider alternative routes:
• Anthony by Bertola → Gbagada/Oworonshoki Expressway → Iyana Oworo → Carwash.
• Maryland via Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way → Sheraton → Opebi → Kudirat Abiola Way → Secretariat → Otedola Under-Bridge.
