FLASH TRAFFIC UPDATE – LAGOS IKORODU ROAD
Traffic is busy from Palm Grove up to Anthony and Idi Iroko, due to the ongoing recovery of a fallen container at Idi Iroko.
A recovery crane has taken up one lane on the main carriageway inward Independence Tunnel, reducing available lanes and causing congestion.
To manage the situation, vehicles are being diverted to the BRT lane from Anthony to supplement movement.
After Idi Iroko down to Ojota, movement resumes smoothly.
On the return journey, traffic is also busy from Odo Iyalaro down to Idi Iroko, where the recovery effort continues.
Vehicles are diverted to the BRT lane from Maryland to Anthony to ease the pressure.
Motorists are advised to exercise patience or seek alternate routes where possible.
