LEKKI–EPE EXPRESSWAY TRAFFIC UPDATE
Traffic situation across the Lekki–Epe corridor remains largely manageable, with a few notable slow zones.
Movement from Eleko inward Baba Adidas, Alahun, Shapati linking Lakowe, Oribanwa, and Sangotedo through LBS is smooth and steady, while the stretch towards Abraham Adesanya is also good to go.
In and out of Ogombo Road remains free, but traffic becomes slow from Thomas Estate to the ascent of Ajah Bridge due to motorists navigating inward Ajah underbridge.
Along Ado–Badore Road, movement is fine, though it gets sluggish approaching Thomas Estate inward Ajah underbridge, caused by tricycle activities and alternation delays.
Descending Ajah Bridge through to Chevron Toll Plaza is calm and orderly, and movement inward Chevron intersection remains free. However, from Chevron down to Jakande, there’s busy movement due to alternation delays and an overnight tanker accident that rammed into the median, currently occupying half of the road. Recovery operations are ongoing.
Traffic from Jakande to Chisco is slow, while better movement is recorded inward Ikate, except for minor alternation delays.
Ikate en route Jazz 38 is fair, but movement towards Lekki Phase 1 is a bit slow.
From Lekki Phase 1 through to Bonny Camp Roundabout, movement is appreciable and steady.
The return journey along the entire corridor remains smooth, with only pockets of alternation delays observed.
