The General Manager of Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1fm, Tayo Akanle has urged his staff to continue to be at their best in discharging their statutory duties, adding that staff expertise is the tool that can propel the station to greater heights.

Speaking at the first Staff Forum of 2024 held recently at the station’s foyer, Akanle expresses his appreciation to the workforce for their commitment and dedication. He further said all hands are on deck to ensure the workspaces are friendlier, to enhance the service delivery of the station.

While acknowledging the can-do spirit of his workforce, Akanle harps on ensuring tasks are executed rightly and diligently.

In an effort to foster continuous professional development and explore best practices, Mrs. Bosede Obasa, a guest speaker, revealed in her presentation the dominance of traditional radio, despite the rise of digital media, highlighting the high demand for local news and entertainment.   She further disclosed that the Gen Z age group 13-24 is big on streaming while 53% of people listen to AM/FM radio. So the station should also leverage the digital space to bring all listeners on board.

The high point of the meeting was the emergence of Moshood Badmus, wale Osho, and Bola Sadiq as winners of the Staff of the Month Award for January, February, and March respectively.
