TRAFFIC UPDATE FROM IKOYI-OBALENDE AXIS
Vehicular movement from Falomo Roundabout through Awolowo Road, Mobil and Military Hospital enroute Onikan Roundabout is moving as expected. The return journey inward Falomo Roundabout is busy due to early morning influx and traffic alternations.
Movement along Alfred Rewane Road from Falomo Roundabout through Osborne, Bayo Kuku and Golden Gate Junctions is good in both directions, aside from traffic-light delays.
Vehicular activities at Obalende proper are gathering momentum, while movement underneath Obalende Bridge is busy due to commercial and commuter activities.
Movement along Bourdillon, inward and outward, is good to go, while approaching Alexander Link Bridge is moving as expected.
An impediment remains at the location of a Lexus Jeep involved in a lone accident since Saturday. The vehicle reportedly skidded off the road, hit the kerb and subsequently rammed into a PHCN pole, damaging it. PHCN officials are expected to remove the damaged pole today to facilitate evacuation of the vehicle.
The impediment is not affecting traffic flow at the moment.
Officers are on ground at various choke points doing the needful.
