TRAFFIC UPDATE FROM VICTORIA ISLAND
The Victoria Island/Lekki corridor is experiencing steady to slow-moving traffic across major routes due to peak-hour alternation, traffic light delays, and failed road sections.
Traffic from McEwen Bridge inward Bonny Camp Roundabout is moving but slow as motorists approach the roundabout due to alternation, while the return journey from Bonny Camp to McEwen Bridge is steady.
Movement along Ahmadu Bello Way remains generally good in both directions, with slight delays around the MRS and Mobil Filling Stations due to fuel purchase activities. Adeola Odeku Junction is also experiencing slow movement as a result of alternation and traffic light delays.
Traffic from Ahmadu Bello (IMB) toward Coastal Road is flowing freely, while movement toward Eko Hotel Roundabout is steady despite minor delays at the traffic lights. The return journey is encouraging.
Motorists travelling from Bonny Camp Underpass through Kofo Abayomi toward Oniru/Kilimanjaro will experience steady movement with intermittent alternation delays.
The stretch from Law School to Civic Centre remains busy, with traffic backlog caused by the failed section of the road, traffic light delays, and alternation. Likewise, movement from School Corner (Black Diamond Hotel) toward Sandfield is slow due to the poor road condition and alternating traffic control.
Traffic from BJ1004 toward School Corner and Lekki Phase 1 is appreciable, while movement from Lekki Phase 1 toward Marwa is fast-moving. The return journey from Marwa to Lekki Phase 1 is steady.
From BJ1004 through Civic Centre toward Law School, traffic is moving steadily with delays at alternating points and traffic signals. The corridor from Kilimanjaro through Kofo Abayomi to Bonny Camp Roundabout and McEwen Bridge is slow due to the evening rush and alternation beneath the Bonny Camp Bridge.
