TRAFFIC UPDATE FROM VICTORIA ISLAND–LEKKI AXIS

Evening rush-hour traffic is beginning to build across the Victoria Island–Lekki corridor.

Traffic from McWen Bridge inward Bonny Camp Roundabout is moving slowly due to traffic alternation, while the return journey toward McWen Bridge is busy as a result of increased evening traffic.

Movement along Ahmadu Bello Way remains steady, with slight delays around MRS and Mobil Filling Stations due to fuel dispensing activities. Adeola Odeku Junction is also experiencing slow movement caused by traffic alternation and signalized intersections.

The IMB–Coastal Road corridor is in good condition, while traffic around Eko Hotel Roundabout is steady with minor delays at traffic lights.

Vehicular movement from Bonny Camp Underpass through Kofo Abayomi toward Oniru/Kilimanjaro is moving, although motorists should expect slight delays due to traffic alternation.

The stretch from Law School through Civic Centre is experiencing backlog due to the failed section of the road, traffic alternation, and traffic light delays.

Traffic from BJ 1004 through School Corner toward Sandfield is moving appreciably, while Lekki Phase 1 through Marwa remains free-flowing. The return journey is steady.

Movement from Sandfield toward School Corner (Black Diamond Hotel) is dragging due to the poor road condition, traffic alternation, and traffic light delays.

Traffic between BJ 1004, Civic Centre, Ramp Bridge, Law School, Akin Adesola, Kilimanjaro, Kofo Abayomi, and Bonny Camp is generally steady but affected by intermittent delays caused by evening rush and traffic alternation.

Traffic Status: No traffic impediment reported. Traffic lights are functional, and officers remain on ground managing vehicular movement.
