TRAFFIC UPDATE – IMOTA / OJODU BERGER AXIS

Traffic movement from Sabo Roundabout down to Alaka is currently slow but steady due to increased commercial activities from buyers at the cattle market and ongoing market operations. Officers are, however, actively managing the traffic situation along the corridor.

Movement from Alaka down to Itamaga is faster, while traffic flow from Itamaga Intersection inward and outward towards Itokin remains calm and smooth.

Itamaga Roundabout is free-flowing, with good movement towards Idi Iroko, Cele, Gbaga, Omitoro, Eleshin, Mowonla, and Elepe. Traffic from Elepe inward Ginti and Gbodun Junction linking Ijede Proper is equally smooth, while movement from AP down to Gberigbe remains free-flowing.

Meanwhile, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, traffic from Otedola inward OPIC U-Turn is slow-moving due to ram trading activities around Kara Market, resulting in heavy turning movements at the OPIC U-Turn.

In the opposite direction, traffic from Long Bridge to Kara Bus Stop is slow-moving, while movement from Kara Bridge down to Otedola remains steady.

LASTMA officials and other traffic agencies are strategically positioned to ensure smooth traffic management, although backlog has extended beyond Otedola Bridge.
